Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have led to blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in providing protection systems and enforcing sanctions," mentioned in a public message.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen missiles attacked energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated utility staff and officials were bracing for more assaults.
